❤️👍 Quick Blessings!

Howdy Reader!

It's late in the day, and I want to get this little piece of (hopefully) love, joy, and blessings out to you--please use it to count your own blessings!

Let's get right to it!

  • Being able to get stuff done--to design the things we want and need to do, to organize them, and actually take action to get them done. It feels so good to "check them off" of the list. I did a little of that today.

  • Recipes online. My wife is making "Marry Me," chicken right now...it's about to be done and smells sooooo good. Thank you to whoever takes the time to create and/or post these. My family will be feasting in just a bit!

  • Mean people doing business. My wife had to deal with a particularly foul person today...and for the life of me, I just don't GET why or how people can be so rude and a-holeish.

It's a chance to practice Grace--although I don't always do it. I have a philosophy that says (I'm doing this from memory, so it may not be exactly accurate):

"People may be mean, rude, lying, unreasonable, and ugly...and I choose to love them anyway."

It's taken from a saying Mother Teresa had, and I adapted it. So these mean people give us a chance to work on ourselves. I'm grateful for that.

  • "Fish" came home last night. He's my daughter Mandy's cat, he's a stinker, and she spoils and treats him like a real child. Well, he left last night to wander the woods next door at night (I actually let him out before it got dark, but he didn't return until after dark). We had to go out and search for him for 45 minutes for my anxious baby girl.

And we finally got him. That stinker. But he makes my daughter so happy, so I'm grateful he's back.

  • My son got to spend time with his Guelos today (grandparents). He loves them so much, and they love him--and it's just an absolute good that they get to spend time together. They are so cute together, and Alec's granddad is probably his favorite human....which stings JUST a little...but I'm so happy that they get the time together.

That's it!

I hope you know and realize that you're loved.

With love,

❤️👍 Chip

Howdy Reader, So today, I had to say goodbye to two Heroes at our school. It's always a sad thing and absolutely the worst part about owning and running a school. We get so attached to these wonderful little human beings. We see their potential. We want the best for them. We see their growth. And then we see them leave. It hurts, and I am very sad today. Something that I think about with these, and it's taught in my courses on JOY...Is that JOY can encompass sadness. It's greater than that. Joy...

Howdy again Reader! It's Monday, Columbus Day, and I worked today to get the school all ready. I'm home, I still have a few things to prepare for the week...So here are some QUICK BLESSINGS! I'm grateful for the ability to read and learn from other people's stories. Biographies can be so powerful...we get to see some of ourselves in them and can see the magic of possibility laid a little more bare for us. I'm currently listening to and reading "Elon Musk," by Walter Isaacson...and I'm...

HowdyReader! Our vacation is ending today, and I’ll be sending these out regularly this week. I wanted to get some Blessings out to you, to hopefully help your day. Please think of these for you, and if you’re so inclined—make a list of your own! Here are the BLESSINGS: My son is so affectionate and gives me hugs often, he wants to hold me a lot, and will sneak a little beso (kiss) on an available arm, or back when he can. I’ve been feeling his love this week a lot, and it’s such a blessing....
