❤️👍 Blessings from Puerto Vallarta

Howdy again Reader!

I’m writing these blessings from vacation and once again on my phone, as I didn’t bring my computer, on purpose!

We have an amazing room, with a view of the jungle, a river, and Puerto Vallarta Bay, which lights up at night to give us nighttime views to go along with what I’m seeing now.

It’s just amazing. I love these moments and just occasionally feel…inadequate…to have all of the blessings I do.

That’s something I need to work on, as we can all feel like we deserve what we get in life. Jim Rohn said we must sow and reap, and learn not to make apologies for what we have, or excuses for what we don’t.

I’m just feeling really blessed at the moment. And I think I’m savoring all of this and understanding how good we have it right now.

I hope you can say the same, as life can be so wonderful for magical periods of time and I wish for you many of those moments.

The BLESSINGS:

  • People whose whole career/job is to help others have a more enjoyable time. The people here are focused on making our time here better, and that’s just amazing. They take their jobs seriously, too. Genuine smiles, suggestions, offers to help constantly. It’s really something. They also have a greeting and a way of saying goodbye where they put their right hand over their heart. It’s a blessing. Thank you!
  • Bathtubs. The idea of holding a lot of water so that we can bathe in them is great. We like to sit Alec in them to get him really clean…and someone took the time to design, make, and sell them, builders bought and installed them, and here they are for our use. How wonderful.
  • I had some gastrointestinal issues during the wee hours of this morning. It may have been the water here or eating “vacation” food. Whatever it was, it wasn’t pleasant. The good news is how fast we adapt, and we can always get better. I’m actually thinking of going OMAD (one meal a day) here and loading up on eggs in a late morning buffet. I just don’t like feeling bloated anymore. And I’m grateful for feedback when we need to change direction.
  • I love feedback from these emails! A gentleman by the name of Forrest sent me one yesterday complimenting me on building gratitude with the elements around me…and it had me feeling good. Thank you, Forrest! I do these emails for several reasons, the first and biggest is that I want to help others love life more. I hope these emails help with that gratitude and appreciating life more. I don’t do it for praise or positive feedback—but it really feels good to get it! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
  • Lastly, today I’m grateful that my love for my wife has just continued to grow and even intensify over 28 years, 10 months, 1 week and 5 days of knowing her. Of all of the Earthly blessings in my life, of which there are so many, my relationship with her is the one I cherish the most. Vacation brings that out in me even more.

And with that, please have a wonderful Sunday. I hope you are able to count your blessings, whether we are in a magnificent place or hurting deeply, there are always blessings to be counted.

With love,

❤️👍 Chip

P.S. Here is a picture off our balcony. I don’t know if it does justice to the view.

Howdy Reader, So today, I had to say goodbye to two Heroes at our school. It's always a sad thing and absolutely the worst part about owning and running a school. We get so attached to these wonderful little human beings. We see their potential. We want the best for them. We see their growth. And then we see them leave. It hurts, and I am very sad today. Something that I think about with these, and it's taught in my courses on JOY...Is that JOY can encompass sadness. It's greater than that. Joy...

Howdy again Reader! It's Monday, Columbus Day, and I worked today to get the school all ready. I'm home, I still have a few things to prepare for the week...So here are some QUICK BLESSINGS! I'm grateful for the ability to read and learn from other people's stories. Biographies can be so powerful...we get to see some of ourselves in them and can see the magic of possibility laid a little more bare for us. I'm currently listening to and reading "Elon Musk," by Walter Isaacson...and I'm...

HowdyReader! Our vacation is ending today, and I’ll be sending these out regularly this week. I wanted to get some Blessings out to you, to hopefully help your day. Please think of these for you, and if you’re so inclined—make a list of your own! Here are the BLESSINGS: My son is so affectionate and gives me hugs often, he wants to hold me a lot, and will sneak a little beso (kiss) on an available arm, or back when he can. I’ve been feeling his love this week a lot, and it’s such a blessing....
