❤️👍 Blessings and The Meaning of Life.

Howdy Reader, you beautiful, wonderful soul--

Even if you don't believe it about yourself...I promise that it's true.

I'm up extremely early this morning, on my day "off" from being a Guide in my schoo to being the owner and working ON the the school. So lots of fun with payment programs, accountant questions, learning design (I actually like that one).

But when I don't HAVE to get up early...I often wake up early.

And the calm hours before the sun rises, when everything is quiet, and it's me and my thoughts...and often (somewhat shamefully) my PHONE and social media.

But there's a two-edged sword, as there is often good in that, too.

And this morning, I ran across this on my Facebook feed from my friend Gordon--who is the man that Alec and I randomly ran into while visiting a "vortex" in Sedona, Arizona...so maybe this means more than just surface-level stuff.

And this post made me think of the study that I'd done on the Meaning of Life when I was doing my podcast, and examining what Buddha, Aristotle, Jesus Christ, Einstein, Viktor Frankl...and of course, right along with them--ME 😂

So--I started listening to my own podcast, only the second one I did...

And I was inspired.

I actually feel GOOD about going into today, to getting some things done that I wanted to do. To have a really good conversation with God...

And also to set up the online mechanism for the God Bookend Training that I will be doing. I really want to get that out to you--and I'm using a new platform, setting it up, and there are just some mechanizations, marketing, etc.

I realize that there is a real benefit behind that, and it actually relates to my own personal meaning of life--and part of that is getting some things OUT of me to help others.

The thought that you will have your very own God Bookends is kind of exciting to me--because I know how good it's been for me...and I bet it will be amazing for you, too.

SO--MORE ON THE GOD BOOKEND COMING VERY SOON...I PROMISE!

In the meantime--here is that pretty cool, pretty deep podcast episode:
"The Meaning of Life Is..."

There are links there to listen to it on your favorite podcast player.

NOW--let's get on with BLESSINGS:

  • The ability to GIVE love and affection to others. I was about to say give and receive, but this blessing in particular is the ability to give.

What an HONOR that is! What a supreme blessing--maybe even better than being able to receive it.

I was thinking of that while petting my sweet, gigantic cat of 17 years old, Balboa. He was loving it and just purring so loudly I thought he'd wake my family. It had been too long since I've shown him so much love, and it was awesome--and that's just a fraction of what we can do with our loved ones.

Wow, what a great blessing! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • Oregeno Oil. Wow. I was told to take some by someone reading the emails (THANK YOU and SHOUT-OUT to Dorothy, thank you!) to help ease my diverticulitis pain I've been having again lately. It is STRONG, and tough to take...I took 6 drops and it made me gag, eyes-watering...hilarious while sitting in my car in a supermarket parking lot...and I think it helped me feel a lot better. So thank you to all of the people making this curiously, freakishly strong substance!

  • The little fog and malaise I've felt this week. Hurting stomach, willful and loud Heroes (middle schoolers!), reality not quite meeting expectations, a little cold I'm sure, and the fatigue that it brought on.

The reason I'm grateful for it is that the fog always clears. Without fail. The Spring always follows the Winter.

And I get mornings like today, with a clear slate and grateful heart that help make it all better. It's a big metaphor for life.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • Recording devices for wisdom! From a pen and paper to written words on a glowing screen, to recording our likeness in a hologram...it's amazing that we can transfer our thoughts to another medium for others to pick up, consider, and use themselves. So cool. I make use of these methods to get (and sometimes give) wisdom! So cool. What a life where we get to experience this!

  • The luxury of having deep thoughts, and what Maslow called 'self-actualization.' The human race didn't have this luxury a lot in its early years, as we were just trying hard to survive...and we've accomplished so much to be able to sit in a comfortable living room, the air conditioned to our liking..and to think the deep thoughts on life with a full belly. Just phenomenal. I hope you enjoy that, too.

I have a lot that I GET to do today, so I'm getting on with it.

Hey, thank you for reading. I appreciate that, and I hope it helps your day even a little. That makes this so worthwhile for me to do.

God bless that beautiful person you see in the mirror!

With love,

❤️👍 Chip Franks

P.S. I'm making a promise to you that I'll get a page up that explains the upcoming GOD BOOKEND TRAINING and gives you the opportunity to sign up for it and bless your life...today!

I'm about to engage in my own God Bookend, and I know it's going to be wonderful. Bye for real!

Howdy Reader, So today, I had to say goodbye to two Heroes at our school. It's always a sad thing and absolutely the worst part about owning and running a school. We get so attached to these wonderful little human beings. We see their potential. We want the best for them. We see their growth. And then we see them leave. It hurts, and I am very sad today. Something that I think about with these, and it's taught in my courses on JOY...Is that JOY can encompass sadness. It's greater than that. Joy...

Howdy again Reader! It's Monday, Columbus Day, and I worked today to get the school all ready. I'm home, I still have a few things to prepare for the week...So here are some QUICK BLESSINGS! I'm grateful for the ability to read and learn from other people's stories. Biographies can be so powerful...we get to see some of ourselves in them and can see the magic of possibility laid a little more bare for us. I'm currently listening to and reading "Elon Musk," by Walter Isaacson...and I'm...

HowdyReader! Our vacation is ending today, and I’ll be sending these out regularly this week. I wanted to get some Blessings out to you, to hopefully help your day. Please think of these for you, and if you’re so inclined—make a list of your own! Here are the BLESSINGS: My son is so affectionate and gives me hugs often, he wants to hold me a lot, and will sneak a little beso (kiss) on an available arm, or back when he can. I’ve been feeling his love this week a lot, and it’s such a blessing....
